What to expect at your appointment

Depending on why you have been referred, your appointment will usually consist of a consultation with the doctor as well as an examination. The examination may involve a number of procedures which the doctor will discuss with you. The majority of procedures we perform are claimable on Medicare.

Swallow Patients

Patients being assessed for swallow will need to bring the following foods to their appointment:

  • Sandwich (soft bread with butter/spread
  • Biscuit (hard/crumbly)
  • Diced fruit, for example SPC fruit in syrup
  • Smooth yoghurt

Parking

Ample parking is usually available near our clinics:

  • St Leonards
    • 1-2 hour metered parking available on the Pacific Highway, Berry Road or Park Road
  • Drummoyne
    • 2 hour parking is available on Formosa Street, where there is also an entrance to our building located next to Copo Café.
  • Green Square
    • Free patient parking is provided in the secure, basement carpark of our building. Entrance to the carpark is located on Sam Sing Street, just after the intersection with O’Dea Avenue. Press “01 OK” on the carpark intercom, and our reception staff will buzz to open the carpark gate. Turn left after entering the carpark, and take the lift directly to level 1.

Public Transport

  • St Leonards
    • Conveniently located a short walk from St Leonards station
  • Drummoyne
    • There are a number of bus routes that run along Victoria Road.
  • Green Square
    • Bus
      • There are several bus services available to and from the Sydney CBD, Bondi Junction, Eastgardens, Botany and San Souci. A bus stop is located directly outside the practice on O’Dea Avenue.

        • 301 – City to Eastgardens Service
        • 302 – City to Eastgardens Service
        • 303 – City to San Souci Service
        • 348 – Bondi Junction to Wolli Creek Service
        • M20 – Gore Hill to Botany Service

    • Train
      • Our practice is a 10-12 minute walk to Green Square Railway Station. This is a mobility-accessible station, and is located on the T2 Airport, Inner West and South line
